Little girls and dresses.

Most parents can't wait to put that very first little pink dress on their baby girls.

Then, there's the little red velvet holiday dress, with matching headband for baby's cute, prom dresses for cheap prices bald head.

With little girls, nearly every "special occasion" means dress-time. New Year's Day, vintage homecoming dresses vintage homecoming dresses semi formal dress Valentine's Day, school recitals, weddings, homecoming dresses gowns homecoming dresses gowns and many other holidays can be made reasons for little girls to dress-up.

And there are so many dresses to pick from; feminine floral in the spring, lacy formals when picture taking, sundresses at the beach and fashionable denim - there is certainly no lack of variety.

And with styles changing from year to year, Shop for prom dresses, formal dresses, designer prom dresses, homecoming dresses, graduation dresses, formal dresses, cocktail dresses and wedding dresses. from knee-length to floor-length, from fitted to flowing - there's never a lack of reason to shop for one.

But among all the dresses worn by little girls as they grow sequin homecoming dresses sequin homecoming dresses, some tend to be more memorable than others.

I particularly remember one daughter's apple-print nightgown that we'd have to sneak into the laundry when she'd sleep because she wouldn't part with it long enough to have it laundered; for months, she literally wore it all the time.

There are all those dresses they wore for various special celebrations, including those worn during school recitals. And there were even dresses handed down from when I was a girl.

And this past week, as I helped my oldest daughter find yet another dress, short purple prom dresses by scala it suddenly occurred to me that this particular dress represented a turning point in her young life.

Our purchase: a junior prom dress.

It's a simple knee-length dress, but a very special one.

Most of all, it's a staggering reminder of both how very fast the past years have flown, and of how much quicker still, the following years will go by.

For as she continues to grow and change, so will the dresses she wears.

No more little girl dresses .

Instead, in four short years, she'll be in more formal wear - a gown for senior prom.

And one day, there could possibly be more opportunities for wearing gowns, formal dresses for juniors in the form of weddings (her own and those of her friends).

Of course, there's bound to eventually be a little black dress and other grown-up styles in her closet.

So, as she models her junior prom dress and looks forward to her special night, I find myself looking back, reminiscent, at all the little dresses she once wore and wishing that time could somehow slow down just a little bit.
